Jim leverages his 30 years of financial services experience across a variety of roles to provide individuals and families with comprehensive personal financial planning, wealth management, and lifetime, estate, and charitable planning strategies.

In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Jim has earned the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) from the American College. Jim holds a BA in philosophy from Georgetown University, a JD from Vermont Law School and a master’s degree in tax law from the Boston University School of Law. He also holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and is licensed in the areas of life, health, and variable insurance.

He is a past president of the Maine Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and is a member of the Maine Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Jim has been an active member of Rotary as well a longtime race team coach with Maine Handicapped Skiing. Jim lives in Yarmouth and in his spare time enjoys kayaking, skiing and spending time with his wife, Paula, and their two adult children.
