Tom Wentling manages a comprehensive financial planning practice at UBS, where he has been, including predecessor firms, for over 30 years. His practice is focused on families, businesses owners, medical practices and law firms. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®).
He believes the process of articulating goals, formulating strategies to help achieve them, and monitoring progress is fundamental to success. Investment decisions are far more likely to be effective if they are made as a result of this process, not prior to it.
Tom is Vice Chairman of the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission and Chair of its Finance and Audit Committees. He is a board member of the Brother's Brother Foundation. He is the past Chair of the Investment Committees of the Shadyside Presbyterian Church, the Ellis School and the Staunton Farm Foundation. He is past Chair of the Opera Theater of Pittsburgh. Tom and his wife, Caroline, live in Point Breeze with their two children.
