James R. Oplt is a Senior Vice President – Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services Inc in Des Moines, Iowa.  Jymm started his investment career with Dean Witter in 1976.  In 1979, he moved to EF Hutton and in 1989, to Paine Webber which is now UBS.  He is on the Regional Advisory Council for the Firm which recognizes investment advisors with a significant grasp of the business and industry trends.  In addition to this honor, he was selected into "The Winner's Circle" in 2005 which recognizes the top-ranked advisors in America by Region. 

 Jymm was instrumental in establishing the criteria for the Simpson College endowment and the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines.

 A Chicago native, Jymm graduated from Simpson College in 1972. 

 Jymm and his wife, Kathy, live in Clive, have three grown children and now enjoy being grandparents.

James C.  A Storm Lake native, Jim graduated from Simpson College in 1982.  He is active in the community, having served as Chair of the Des Moines Public School Foundation, Chair of the Des Moines Area Community College Foundation, Vice Chair of Children and Family Services of Iowa, Vice Chair of Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute Board of Directors, Vice Chair of Big Brothers/Big Sisters Board of Directors, and Treasurer of the Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity and serves on the Simpson College Board of Trustees.

 Jim and his wife Judy Quick have one child and live in Des Moines.

Trevor L. Shaner, Vice President – Wealth Management, his investment experience started in 1992, all with UBS Financial Services and predecessor firm PaineWebber.  He has managed fixed income and equity portfolios for county and state property casualty insurance companies since 1993. 

 Trevor is a Simpson College graduate.  He enjoys spending time with his family, most of which are in the Des Moines area.  He manages to keep busy at home with his wife Heidi, daughter and two sons.

Scott M. Jackson, Financial Advisor, joined the Alpha Wealth Consulting Group in 2013 and has been in the financial services industry since 2002.

Scott earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 2002 with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. Scott also received his Masters in Business Administration from Drake University in 2010.

Amanda J. Jackson, Senior Registered Client Service Associate, has been with the team since 2001.  She was an intern with UBS PaineWebber her last two semesters in college and started full time shortly after graduation.  Amanda began her career as a Client Service Associate for three financial advisors, and shortly earned the title of a Registered Client Service Associate after passing her Series 7, Series 66 and Insurance Exams. 

Amanda graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa in 2002.  While attending Simpson she received a degree in Management, a minor in Marketing and a specialization in Finance and Insurance. 

Amanda resides in Clive with her husband Scott and their two daughters.

Kathleen A. Hendershott, Senior Registered Client Service Associate, has been in the investment industry since 1996.  Kathy started her career at Piper Jaffray and RBC Dain Rauscher before joining UBS in August 2004.   She became registered in 1998 and obtained her insurance license in 2000. 

Kathy has taken night classes through DMACC and Simpson College.  In her free time she trains in Tae Kwon Do and received her 4th Dan Black Belt in 2017.  Kathy lives in Madrid.
