Erik Holton began his career in financial services in 1995.  He is one of a small number of UBS Financial Advisors who have earned the designation of “Wealth Advisor” As a Wealth Advisor he works exclusively with affluent clients, designing customized strategies and offerings that address their complex needs and long-term vision. Erik purposely limits his service to a select group of clients who can most benefit from UBS' global resources and combining the proven access of a leading financial institution with the intimate and customized approach of a boutique

Erik has significant experience in working with entrepreneurs, business owners, C-suite executives and affluent families about a range of issues.  Typically, these clients have come to a crossroad in their wealth.  Clients' needs range from pre-and-post IPO strategies, concentrated and restricted stock management, mergers, private sales and wealth transfer strategies. They anticipate a liquidity event, are dealing with new-found wealth, or simply realize that they do not have the time or knowledge to handle the intricacies of affluence.  

He relishes the opportunity to help clients at these critical times, laying out a deliberate and cohesive framework for successive years. Clients often come to him after benefitting from solid planning by external tax and legal advisors. However, they need help in moving beyond planning to implementation. He is particularly skilled in making that connection. Erik recognizes that strategy is an essential underpinning of his team's work.  However, he pairs that foundation with deliberate follow-through.  He understands the importance of doing things the right way the first time.

Erik is eminently qualified to provide highly personalized wealth management services to his clients. He earned a B.S, in Accounting from Northeastern University. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses and is a Corporate Stock Benefit Consultant through the Corporate Employee Financial Services division of the firm (CEFS). Prior to joining UBS in 2005, Erik spent four years as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and six years at Tucker Anthony.

Erik splits his time between the Boston and New Haven Office.  He resides in North Haven, CT with his wife Megan and three daughters. His family has a passion for dogs.  Erik enjoys helping his wife who owns a successful dog daycare and boarding facility.  He also enjoys skiing, golf and travel with his family.

Kane began his financial services career in one of the equity market's most tumultuous years on record - and since January, 2003 he has successfully helped clients manage their wealth throughout good times and bad. He joined UBS in 2005 from another major financial services firm. Kane attributes much of his success to the fact that he has always been fascinated with behavioral finance on Wall Street and genuinely enjoys helping his clients succeed.

Prior to launching a successful career on Wall Street, Kane spent 10 years as a senior executive in global technology companies and was in the founding group of a venture-backed startup. This experience gives Kane first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by his clients, most of whom are venture capitalists or technology and startup entrepreneurs.

Kane's team believes in process and consistency. They have created and installed a rigorous service model to ensure a first-class client experience. If you ask ten wealth managers to define wealth management, you'll get 10 different answers. However, Kane's team follows a strict, proprietary formula for their wealth management process, proven to deliver superior levels of satisfaction with clients: WM=IM+AP+RM. Wealth Management = Investment Management + Advanced Planning + Relationship Management. Each category has multiple subclasses, each of them designed to identify and nurture a client's best interests for a lifetime.

Kane is an award winning advisor at UBS. He's been a Leaders Circle Asset Achiever multiple times, and earned the MVP award in 2008 – the worst year in the markets since the great depression. Kane is also among a small number of UBS advisors to have earned the designation of Wealth Advisor. As a Wealth Advisor at UBS, Kane works only with the affluent and complex clients of the Firm.

Career Focus

As a CFP® professional, Matt is committed to a purpose-based wealth management philosophy. He spends his time working with high net worth individuals and families on developing and implementing tailored financial planning strategies that will help them achieve their vision of a purposeful life. Incorporating personalized investment management, estate planning strategies and tax planning solutions through one well-coordinated strategy.

Matt conducts bi-monthly updates with all clients that include reviews of their specific portfolios, trade rationale and our thoughts on the current state of the markets. He is also heavily involved in our groups portfolio management strategies, creating custom allocations that are managed in line with clients goals and objectives.

He prides himself on being informed on the latest industry trends, legislation and regulations. Working behind the scenes he manages every aspect of your financial life so that you can focus on what matters most. His commitment to our clients is what drives him to be a better professional.

Community & Interests

Matt is a lifelong resident of Cape Cod. Having lived in both the North End and South Boston for a time, he moved back to the Cape in 2018.

Outside of the office Matt volunteers his time to a number of charitable causes focused on providing assistance to underserved areas of the local community and environmental sustainability. He is an active member of the Cape Cod Young Professionals organization, which advocates for policies and resources that positively impact young Cape Codders’ quality of life. He also serves as a CFP® Board Mentor, assiting prospective candidates in their exam preperation. Additoanlly, Matt has been recognized as an Ambassador by the America Liver Foundations Leadership Giving Society for his charitable support. 

Matt and his girlfriend Lindsey enjoy broadening their world view by experiencing new cultures through travel, having recently visited both Thailand and Italy. Their other passions include cooking and boating. During the summer months they can be found relaxing with a book on one of the many local beaches.
