Salma Zahr is the Branch Manager in Pasadena leading the UBS Wealth Management Business, serving financial advisor teams and their high net worth clients. Most recently, Salma was the Senior Portfolio Strategist in the UBS San Francisco Private Wealth office, where she collaborated with advisors on customized portfolio construction and asset allocation in the Northwest region. Leveraging the global resources of the firm, she was responsible for articulating and delivering comprehensive, research-driven advice to UBS's ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients. Salma brings to the firm over fifteen years of investment, strategy and sales experience in the financial services industry at UBS, McKinsey & Co, Goldman Sachs, and Credit Suisse.
Salma began her career at UBS working as an Analyst in the Graduate Training Program, rotating through multiple business units at UBS Wealth Management. After five years at UBS, Salma pursued her MBA in Finance at The Wharton School and completed a Private Wealth Associate internship at Goldman Sachs. She was then recruited abroad as a strategy management consultant for McKinsey & Company. While at McKinsey, she advised with C-level executives in the financial industry on developing value proposition strategies for private client product development and business expansion. Salma then returned to the wealth management industry as UHNW Investment Strategist for Credit Suisse based in Dubai linking synergies between the Middle East and Zurich focused on tailored investment strategies and asset allocations for private clients.
Salma received a BSc. in Computational Economics from Carnegie Mellon University and a M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds the Series 7, 66, 9 and 10 registrations. Salma lives with 4 year old, Huda in Pasadena. When not busy between school activities, gymnastics and ice skating, Salma enjoys playing volleyball, international cuisine and real estate development.
