Bob Douglas is a 32-year veteran of the brokerage industry, spending the last 28 years in Asheville, NC. During his tenure Bob has opened and managed Asheville offices for AG Edwards & Sons, Inc. in 1988 and for BB&T/Scott & Stringfellow in 2003, before joining UBS in April of 2013.
With clients, Bob focuses on asset allocation with an emphasis on tactical management strategies that adjust to volatile market conditions. Many of his clients and he have "matured together" with the result that his practice is increasingly focused on retirement income planning and intergenerational wealth transfer. Bob is FINRA registered and holds Series 3, 7, 8 & 63 licenses as well as licenses for life, accident & health insurance and variable annuities.
Bob's Bachelor's Degree in Political Science was earned at Auburn University and he completed the CFP Professional Education Program through The College for Financial Planning. He and his wife, Nancy Leigh, have three grown children and divide their time between Asheville and Kiawah Island, SC.
