Our Mission: We strive to make a significant difference in the lives of our clients, by getting to know what is truly important to them, and guiding them down a path to success.
Lance P. Crossett
Lance is passionate about helping his clients work toward achieving what they want out of life. He understands that the world of investing has become increasingly complex over his 20-plus years in the industry, and he derives a great deal of pleasure from educating his clients and helping them navigate the financial universe in order to achieve their goals.
Over the years, Lance has developed three strong convictions on what it takes to create a successful investment strategy. First, he practices the art of truly understanding each individual client's unique situation and philosophy of what is most important in life. Second, he believes it is essential to partner with his clients in creating a comprehensive financial plan, providing clear direction toward reaching their financial and life goals. Third, since life situations and market conditions change, Lance is committed to ongoing communication and checking in at regular intervals. This third point, Lance feels, is often overlooked in client/advisor relationships and plays an essential part in how he sees his role as a trusted advisor to his valued clients.
During the more than two decades that Lance has served as a financial advisor, he has helped his clients negotiate multiple market cycles. Today, this experience aids him in both anticipating his clients' concerns and staying calm under pressure, two invaluable skills for making sound investment decisions during prosperous and difficult times in the market. Lance specializes in helping individuals and families prepare for some of life's big questions, such as: when can I retire; will I have enough money to do the things that are important to me; and how do I protect my family's wealth during uncertain times?
Lance is a graduate of Baylor University and the Hankamer School of Business. He began his career in financial services at Edward Jones in 1996, joining UBS Financial Services in 2001. In 2010 he formed the Northern Colorado Wealth Management Group at UBS with his current partner, Jason Burkett, with one idea in mind: to give his valued clients the best possible client experience in Northern Colorado. Since that time, Lance has been recognized by his firm many times over for exemplary service to his clients. Lance and his wife, Trish, reside in Timnath with their three boys, Cole, Connor and Aiden. Together, Lance and Trish enjoy outdoor activities, travel and watching their boys play sports.

Jason P. Burkett, CFP®, CRPC®
Jason's professional passion is helping his clients live out their goals and dreams. This desire to help others in a life-changing way is what motivated Jason to leave a successful career as an actuary in 2003. He made this career change because he felt that he could use his skills in high level math, statistics and finance from his former profession, to help individuals and families achieve a successful retirement and other life goals. For many years growing up, Jason had career plans to be a doctor. Although his career plans changed, he always had a strong desire to help others. In serving his clients he feels he can make as big a difference in the lives of people as he would have been able to do if he had pursued a career in medicine. His deep care for his clients and his burning desire to help people better their lives is what drives Jason each day.
Jason uses his prior work experience as an actuary, his educational background (B.S. in Mathematics from Colorado State University), as well as his training as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) to take a holistic and detailed look at his clients' current and future financial situations. He then works to understand what really matters to them and what they want out of life. He uses this information and his professional skills and experience in helping these families build and implement a plan that will enable his clients to focus on living their lives rather than focusing on managing their financial affairs. Each of his clients uses the Life Plan Process that Jason and his team have developed in guiding them to worry less and live more.
Jason's passions center around his family. He is married to Julie and they are blessed with four boys: Triston, Llayton , Brady and Silas . He also enjoys mentoring youth in our community through coaching football, and through volunteering and supporting several local charities. Jason has served as a board member for the following charities: Poudre School District Foundation, TEAM Fort Collins, CHAMP and the CFNC Investment Committee. In his free time Jason enjoys spending time outdoors biking, hiking, skiing and doing all the other wonderful things Colorado has to offer.

Scott Tilton Baker
Scott feels that there is nothing more gratifying than to see his long-term clients live out the lives he has helped them to plan for. During his 30-plus years in the industry Scott has learned that, while all goals are important, retirement lifestyle goals are ultimately the most significant objectives that he can help his clients identify and pursue. Beginning by listening and truly hearing what his clients are telling him, Scott works closely with each individual to create a customized plan designed to fit their unique needs, targets and comfort levels.
Scott has spent his entire career learning about the investment landscape, and he knows the importance of continuing his education. He combines his vast knowledge of the industry with his areas of specialization in asset allocation, fixed income and alternative investments to find the right strategy for each client's individual circumstances. He considers this process to be a collaborative effort in which listening is a key factor; listening to know his clients, listening to help his clients develop and articulate their goals, and listening to help his clients work toward and meet their objectives with customized solutions.
Scott is a two-time graduate of Colorado State University with a BS in Natural Resources Conservation Education and an MBA. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society for collegiate schools of business, and in 2003 he completed the IMCA Certified Investment Management Analyst® program with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Donald Robert "Tack" Baker
Tack is fascinated by all things financial. He derives great pleasure from educating his clients about the market, and in turn, from learning what his clients have to teach him. He is intrigued by the opportunities that uncertainty in the market can provide, and he finds great satisfaction in aligning appropriate opportunities with each customized plan he works on with his individual clients.
Beginning his career in the financial industry in 1974, Tack quickly became a dogged financial reader. His love of research fueled his knowledge of the financial landscape, while his love of people fueled his desire to help his clients reach their financial goals. Over the more than three decades that Tack has worked in wealth management and financial planning, he has learned that the most important service he can provide to his clients is to help preserve, protect, and pass on the wealth they have worked so hard to accumulate. Tack considers it both a privilege and a measure of success to have worked with as many as four generations of several families in the pursuit of this core belief.
As a member of the Northern Colorado Wealth Management Group, Tack specializes in financial planning, estate planning strategies and manager selection. Tack believes strongly in the strengths of working within a team framework. He understands that it takes a team to get to know, understand and serve each client's unique situation and needs.
Tack graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business management from Colorado State University, and subsequently earned his Certified Financial Planner™ certification and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation. Tack also holds securities licenses, Series 7, 24, 31, 63 and 65.
A Fort Collins native, Tack enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Karen, have three daughters and four grandchildren.
