Knowledge, experience, leadership And the confidence to pursue your goals

I began my career with UBS during my education at Gettysburg College.  I worked side by side with my Father, Chuck Donovan, until sadly we lost him in 2009.  The experience of working alongside my Father, and his 32 years of experience, was invaluable.  I learned the ins and outs of this business, how to communicate effectively with our clients, and how to manage a Wealth Management practice during the most volatile time in recent history.  This experience has provided me with precious insights on investing and advising our clients, and how to navigate this world through any type of environment; good, bad, or indifferent.  Since my Father passed, I have continued to provide & develop the comprehensive financial planning and needs-based investing approach that is the backbone of every relationship we have.

Our focus on comprehensive financial planning allows for a deeper concentration on who our clients are as investors, risk takers, friends, family members, spouses, and people.  This connection provides us the insights to make recommendations based on our clients’ needs, wants, and wishes, instead of market returns and geopolitical turmoil. We incorporate everything from education, retirement, social security, investment and insurance planning to annuities, banking, debt strategies, and estate planning. This holistic approach, along with the resources available to us at UBS, allow for a much more comprehensive approach to Wealth Management, making recommendations that are much more effective.  We strive to ensure all parts of our clients’ lives are working together towards a common goal: success.

I earned my B.A. in Business Management from Gettysburg College. I hold the series 7 and 66, as well as life, health, long-term care, variable life, and variable annuity insurance licenses. My deep belief in comprehensive financial planning has also led me to obtain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ certification, which has increased my knowledge of wealth planning strategies to focus on my clients’ needs and goals.

I have lived in Southern New Jersey my entire life.  I was born in Shore Medical Center, went to elementary & high school entirely in the Egg Harbor Township School District, and live a mile from my Mother's home where I was raised in Egg Harbor Township.  My wife, daughters Jean Carolyn & Rose Eleanor, and I own a home in the heart of Egg Harbor Twp, a Community I care deeply about and believe in.  I am currently the President of The Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township Schools, a member of the steering committee and sponsor of The Right Notes for the benefit of the Bacharach Center for Rehabilitation and the National MS Society, a member (and past board member) of the Somers Point Rotary Club, involved in the Charitable efforts of Shore Medical Center and its' Stainton Society, active supporter of the Southern NJ Gilda's Club, and a member of the Somers Point Business Association.
