José has served the wealth management needs of high net worth entrepreneurs, families and their corporations for 33 years.  Jose joined UBS in 2015 after 26 years at Credit Suisse, where he served on Credit Suisse's Advisory Council. Using the extensive world-wide research capabilities of UBS, José and his team offer customized solutions to solve allocation, preservation and estate planning needs. José assists clients by achieving tax-efficient solutions and long-term growth, with an underlining philosophy of capital preservation. José’s practice includes helping a substantial number of offshore families with their unique asset management needs and also includes exposure to international capital markets.

José has served on the Board of Crescendo Committee of the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as several non-profit organizations including Odyssey Health Communications. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of Excel Academy, a tuition-free, public middle school in East Boston, MA and Chelsea, MA along with Teen Empowerment, a nationally recognized organization that works to realize the potential of inner-city youth and to build healthier and safer communities and schools.  Additionally, he is a founding member of the Writing Academy, a Boston area grade 7-12 school emphasizing writing skills. 

José is as a cum laude graduate from Harvard University in Economics.  During his time at Harvard University, José completed a series of graduate courses on Modern Portfolio Theory at the Business School under the direction of John Lintner who along with three others derived the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). As native of Cuba, José spends the majority of his time in Boston, Naples and Miami. He enjoys sailing and traveling to the different wine regions of the world.
