Experience Makes all the difference

Tammy B. Haygood is First Vice President-Wealth Management at the Impact Investment Group, specializing in helping investors interested in aligning the pursuit of their investment goals with sustainability and social impact, using a combination of market rate investments, slow growth capital, and philanthropy.

Tammy's personal passions are women's health and accessibility to clean water in developing countries. She believes that every investor should have the opportunity to choose investments consistent with their personal mission and passions. In support of that belief and to better serve her clients, Tammy created the UBS Impact Investment Group.

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tammy holds a BS in Electrical Engineering as well as a BS in Physics from Tuskegee University. She also holds a JD from Golden Gate University with specialties in securities and tax law, and is a member of the California State Bar. Tammy’s community work has included service on the Cecil Williams Glide Community Housing Board, Pride Law Board, and the Harm Reduction Therapy Center. Tammy has also served as an advisory board member of UCSF’s Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, and community chairperson of UCSF’s Human Gamete, Embryo and Stem Cell Research Committee. Tammy is passionate about raising HIV/AIDS awareness and continues to participate in the AIDS/Lifecycle 545 mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles supporting the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Personally, she is an impact investor striving to invest 100% of her family's wealth in companies having a positive footprint in the world; as an active angel investor she has held memberships in Toniic and the 100% Impact Network communities focused on building stronger impact ecosystems. Her passion for investor education and the opportunity to broaden impact investment opportunities led her during her four years of a Keiretsu Forum sponsorship to co-create "Pitch Me Green", an angel investor community program supporting early stage sustainable business models.  Tammy’s past speaking engagements include the YWCA annual Young Women and Money conference and SOCAP (Social Capital Markets) conference.

Prior to UBS Financial Services, Inc., Tammy’s diverse career has included project manager and engineer for Apple Computer, Kimberly Clark, Executive Director of the Cecil William’s Glide Community House, Director of Elections for the City and County of San Francisco, as well as principal of a law practice specializing in corporate securities and tax law. Tammy is happiest spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and connecting people with others.
