Chuck is one of a few select advisors at UBS to earn the Private Wealth Advisor designation following a rigorous training and accreditation program focused on the complex needs of individuals and families with substantial wealth. Working closely with our clients' legal and tax advisors, Chuck draws on his extensive experience in government and law to help develop bespoke solutions for our clients' most pressing matters.
In addition to his 25 years of experience as a financial advisor, Chuck became a Certified Investment Management Analyst in 2003 through a course of study and exam sponsored by The Investments and Wealth Institute and the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
From 1996 to 2006 Chuck served on a voluntary basis as an appointed trustee of the Arlington County, Virginia, Employee Retirement System where he worked with the other trustees and staff to oversee the investment portfolio and performance of the system's fully funded pension assets.
Prior to becoming an investment professional, Chuck served as the General Counsel of the Inter-American Foundation – a U.S. government corporation focused on community development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to that, he was Chief Legal Counsel and a staff member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations where he advised committee members on a variety of issues related to treaty agreements, U.S. human rights policy and foreign assistance programs. Chuck also held legal/investigative positions on the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and the U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations.
Chuck holds a J.D. from the George Washington University. He also holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Miami University (Ohio) where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
