Charlie has been offering investment guidance and a full range of investment services since 1987, joining the Firm in 1994. He works closely with business owners, corporate executives, entrepreneurs and affluent individuals to help them pursue their financial goals, with a focus on creating fixed income portfolios that address client's needs for income and preservation of principal. Charlie is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) and has earned its designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®).

Louis D. Close, CIMA®
Lou offers clients a personalized approach to managing their investment portfolios. Lou works with client's attorneys, CPAs and other professional counsel to ensure their full spectrum of personal and financial needs are addressed. He then prepares customized portfolio and product recommendations to ensure each client's retirement, estate planning and other financial goals become a reality. Lou is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association, and he has earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®)designation from The Wharton School of the University of PA.

Michael M. Walstien
As a Financial Advisor, Michael is dedicated to personalized service and consultative management to help clients identify risks, develop their investment plans and monitor their performance. He focuses on asset allocation, mutual funds, 529 education plans, annuities and 401(k) plans. Michael began his career in the financial industry in 1998. A five-time recipient of UBS’s Pacesetter Award, Michael has been recognized for his commitment to client service and continuing education. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Bradley University, is the current Vice President.

Michael J. Stalpes
As an investment associate, Mike is frequently called upon to orchestrate complex account management activities, including Rule 144 transactions, legal stock transfers and stock option exercises. He also oversees the management and reporting for many of the team’s managed money accounts. As team coordinator, Mike is involved in every aspect of client interactions, including both investment planning and client service. Mike is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and lives in Plymouth with his wife Pam and two daughters.

John adds over 19 years of experience handling operational needs, putting a knowledgeable human voice at the other end of service issues. Because affluent clients often have multiple financial elements in motion, John understands it is essential that security transfers, account changes, mailing modifications, checks and wires, IRA distributions and other client needs are handled with diligence. John works with each client personally, taking the opportunity to get to know their specific needs on an individual basis.

Andrea is usually the first voice you hear when you call the Major & Close Wealth Management Group. Since entering the industry in 1996, she has developed a range of skills that help streamline operations for the team and its clients. Her responsibilities include opening and servicing new accounts, answering monthly statement questions and managing all client correspondence, in addition to helping manage account changes and other important client needs. Andrea takes pride in providing clients with the personalized attention and solution-oriented service they deserve.
