Bunker is a native of the Tampa Bay area and a graduate of Florida State University. Bunker began his professional career with the United States Army in 1965. He served in the Army for 23 years as both an Active Duty member and a member of the Reserves. Bunker retired from the Army Reserves in 1992 as a Lieutenant Colonel. After his father passed away in 1970, Bunker became Managing President of Bunker Hill Dodge until 1981.
After Bunker sold his car dealership, he began his career in the Financial Services Industry. He obtained a position as an Investment Executive with E.F. Hutton in Lakeland, Florida. In 1986, Bunker took the position of Assistant Manager in the Tampa office. He remained a producing manager with E.F. Hutton until the Shearson takeover in 1989. In 1991, after leaving Shearson and a short stay at Prudential, Bunker chose to focus exclusively on his clients and accepted a position as a Financial Advisor with PaineWebber, which merged with UBS in 2000.
In 2012, Bunker joined the newly merged Tampa Wealth Management Group at UBS Financial Services consisting of seven Wealth Managers and three Client Service Associates. Bunker specializes in Investment Management Consulting, Retirement Planning 401(k), Profit Sharing Plans and Personal Trust Services. Bunker currently resides in Tampa
and has three grown children, Geoff, Tami and Mark. In his spare time, Bunker enjoys diving, skiing, and supporting the Florida State Seminoles.
