Through education and empowerment, Dan helps provide the infrastructure for his clients to take control of their financial lives. It may be crucial for those making financial decisions for the first time – via divorce, the death of a loved one, generational inheritance, or selling a business. Financial planning and investment management are central to his long term collaborative approach, and are the foundation of his client relationships.

Dan is involved in the Los Angeles family law community, and is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s family law executive committee. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Dan focuses on helping clients navigate the financial impact of divorce by working with clients and their attorneys before, during, and after the process.

When recommending investments, Dan analyzes the risks and advantages/disadvantages of opportunities in light of the client's individual financial circumstances, with special attention paid to strategies that are suitable for their particular financial status, objectives, risk tolerance, tax exposure, ESG goals (environmental, social, governance) and other needs.

Prior to joining UBS in 2009, Dan practiced law at Los Angeles area firms in a wide variety of disciplines including trust and estates, corporate litigation, family law, and liability defense, however he does not perform this function at UBS.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dan earned a B.A. in sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and is a member in good standing of the California Bar Association.
