John has been in wealth management for over 32 years, including the last 22 at UBS. He successfully assists clients in managing all aspects of their wealth planning needs, through both good and often challenging market conditions. He attributes his success to having thorough knowledge of the capital markets, utilizing the intellectual capital of UBS, and other outside resources while partnering with his clients' accountants and attorneys. He has been an integral part of the management team at UBS serving as a Sales Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, and Branch Manager. He has never lost sight of what is most important to him, serving the clients of the Short Wealth Management Group.

 Growing up in Northridge, CA, John earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California Lutheran University. He currently holds the Series 3, 6,7,9,10,63, life, health, and long – term care insurance licenses. He continues ongoing training and education to provide the latest knowledge and expertise to assist his clients navigate through often challenging market conditions.

 John volunteered with the National Ski Patrol for over 25 years. He was the President of Thousand Oaks Little League for 15 years during which the league competed in 9 World Series Tournaments, winning the World Series Championship in 2006. During his Presidency, the league was the most successful in the United States. Recently he chaired the 50th Anniversary Parade for the City of Thousand Oaks, the largest parade in the history of the city with over 25,000 in attendance.

 Currently, John is the President of the Community Leader Association at California Lutheran University. He is a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, a nonprofit organization which honors our US armed forces, firefighters, and law enforcement officers at funeral processions. John is a board member with The Rolling Thunder California Chapter 1, a nonprofit organization that honor our US armed forces, firefighters, and law enforcement officers. You will often find him as the Master of Ceremonies for local events such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and the Alzheimer walk.

John and his wife Sue have lived in Thousand Oaks California since 1995 and have three sons, Johnny, Daniel, and Christopher (adopted 10/2015) along with two Schnauzers, Clyde and Harley.

Kate has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years.  Graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor's in Political Science, Kate began her career in the Financial Services industry with Morgan Stanley before joining UBS in 2011. She held several different positions including Client Service Associate, Branch Manager's Assistant, and Operations Manager.

Kate takes pride in providing exceptional service to valued clients of the Short Wealth Management Group. She works closely with John and Daniel to make the client experience seamless and expeditious. She assists the Short Wealth Management Clients with often complex situations. Kate excels at problem solving, attention to detail, and multi-tasking. She enjoys providing a concierge level of service and helping clients achieve their financial goals.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys playing soccer, attending hockey games and traveling around the world.

She holds her Series 7, 66, and 31 securities licenses.
