Michael is dedicated to having intentional relationships with his clients in order to help them plan with purpose.  In developing a tailored financial plan, he works tirelessly with his clients to maintain open lines of communication and ensure peace of mind.  While bringing a new energy to the industry, Michael is supported by the experience of successful advisors who make up Gibbs-Cates Wealth Management.  He is proud to be a part of a team that is built for longevity while still being able to offer in-depth advice based on 60+ years of combined experience.

Michael graduated  from the University of Colorado Boulder as a Biochemistry major with minors in business and chemistry.  During his time at school he was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society.  As an avid outdoorsman, golfer, hiker, climber, and experimental homebrewer, Michael never has trouble finding something fun to do in Colorado.  He is a member of his local Kiwanis Club and  a strong advocate of the Laradon Foundation that serves to provide education and independence to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Michael loves people, and is enthralled with learning and understanding their stories.
