Matt Hansen helps successful people manage and plan all aspects of their wealth so they can focus their time and energy on work, family, and the causes that are most important to them. He focuses on financial planning with an eye on both long term goal achievement and short term opportunistic perspectives.  Guided by each client's personal financial plan, Matt engages with his clients as their dedicated advisor in areas such as comprehensive wealth planning, estate planning strategies, insurance solutions, and various lending options. Matt's focus is working with business owners to bring all the resources of UBS to help them with their business.  This can include assistance with retirement plans, accessing capital, and guiding them through an eventual transition with succession planning.

Matt joined UBS in 2015 as a Senior Vice President – Wealth Management following successful positions at Lucia Capital Group, LPL and Merrill Lynch.  Matt worked with a Certified Financial Planner while at Merrill Lynch where he gained an appreciation for the perspective and the confidence a personalized financial plan can provide.  Thereafter, he became an Operations Accountant at LPL Financial.  Matt acquired valuable insights into the logistics of financial services and learned the "how" of how things get done operationally.  Wanting to get back to his financial planning roots, Matt joined Lucia Capital Group as a financial planning assistant in 2004 and worked his way up to becoming a Financial Advisor and until his departure he served as their Executive Vice President. It was this role that helped him provide insightful guidance and advice to individuals, their businesses and their families.

Matt graduated from Southern Utah University with a BS in Finance and Marketing.  He earned his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation and holds financial services industry licenses 7 and 66, as well as his CA Life and Health Insurance license.

Matt enjoys community engagement and philanthropy, and currently holds board memberships with New Haven Youth and Family Services, ACG San Diego, and Exit Planning Institute-San Diego Chapter.

Matt and his wife Anne married in 2008.  They welcomed their daughter Savannah in 2012, their son Henry in 2015 and their daughter Juliette Rose in 2020.

Gabe Mendoza is a Registered Client Service Associate for Hansen Wealth Management. He first joined UBS in 2017 as an intern during college.  In his current role, he provides operational and administrative support to the team while he continues to grow his knowledge about financial planning. He hold both is Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses. 

Gabe is a native to San Diego and earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance at California State University San Marcos. His passion for helping people and exploring business opportunities inspired him to pursue a future career in the financial services industry. In addition to providing excellent service, Gabe enjoys traveling, playing beach volleyball, hiking, surfing, kayaking, fishing, and many other activities that allow him to spend his time actively outdoors with family and friends.
