Scott brings a focus on designing customized wealth strategies. This includes guiding clients through an exhaustive planning process with short-, medium- and long-term goals. Scott believes a comprehensive plan is key to weathering the markets and ensuring that all assets are working efficiently toward the set goals. He proactively communicates with clients and creates a customized plan to achieve an ongoing dialogue with each client, making sure his advice stays true to his clients’ priorities. Scott is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional who is trained in personal financial planning, retirement planning and estate planning strategies. He completes over 30 hours of continuing education every two years. In addition, Scott has obtained his Chartered Retirement Planning SpecialistSM designation in advanced retirement planning strategies. His certifications demonstrate skills not only in retirement planning, but in financial goal analysis, performance monitoring and client portfolio review. With nearly two decades of experience, Scott offers knowledge of asset protection, ranging from life insurance, annuities, long-term care and disability. Prior to joining UBS in 2013, he worked as a wealth advisor in the Wealth Management division of First Interstate Bank for nine years.
Born and raised in Montana, Scott earned his undergraduate degree in sports medicine from Montana State University–Bozeman and holds a master’s degree in sports administration from Montana State University–Billings. Outside of the office, he can be found out on the state’s greatest waters fly-fishing or on the greens golfing. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Becky, and their two children.
