About Us
The Origins of Trillium Partners
The history of our team dates back to 1983 when Edward Wile began his career at Kidder Peabody & Co. PaineWebber bought Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1995 and was then sold to UBS Financial Services Inc. in 2000. Shortly thereafter, Harris Gignilliat and Laura Wellon joined the team between 2000 and 2001.
The Wile Consulting Group team was formalized in 2005 with Edward, Harris and Laura as equity partners. The foundation of our team was built upon trust and relentless dedication to the financial wellbeing of our clients. In 2014 Edward retired from UBS Financial Services. Harris and Laura have both made it a top priority to maintain and enhance the culture, leadership and client centric foundation of the team.
In 2020 the team rebranded itself as Trillium Partners. The Trillium flower is a three-petal wildflower commonly found blooming throughout the Southeastern regions of the United States. We chose the name Trillium Partners to pay tribute to our Georgia roots and represent this new chapter that lays the ground work for a long-lasting legacy. Touching on the three-key feature of the UBS logo, the flower’s tri-petal characteristic symbolizes the three pillars of our business: Institutional Consulting, Wealth Management and Financial Planning/Education.

Our Clients
At Trillium Partners, we seek to make a positive impact on our clients’ lives. During our decades in the financial advisory business, we have worked with a range of individuals, families and institutions to help them navigate complexity and face the future with confidence. Our clients include:

As Institutional Consultants, we help fiduciaries fulfill their responsibilities, adhere to changing regulatory requirements, drive positive outcomes and meet their goals. We advise institutions on their investment policy statement, plan design, governance, investment offerings and participant education.
We are the preferred providers and work with numerous industry associations. Of these long standing relationships, dental practices represent a core competency of our team. Through these relationships we offer association members access to financial resources and exclusive benefits. We provide assistance with financial planning, qualified retirement plans and wealth management.
Our Institutional Consultants work with philanthropic institutions to implement sound fiduciary governance, introduce best practices, and design portfolios with the appropriate blend of risk and reward to fulfill their mission.
Over the years, many successful business owners and entrepreneurs have relied on us to help them build business value. We help clients explore their options for a sale or succession, and provide exit planning consulting before and after the liquidity event using our expertise and financial planning resources.
Women investors face unique challenges relative to men. As a team composed of many executive women, we have personal experience and a relatable perspective used to offer tailored, distinctive advice for our female clients that commonly face juggling family and career, entrepreneurship, longevity and financial engagement. Most executive women do not have the time to manage their financial future and want to partner with someone who can. We are able to create a financial roadmap and portfolios that reflect these realities and seek to position women for lifelong security while helping them oversee their budget.
Earning or inheriting a large lump sum presents exciting opportunities, as well as potential pitfalls. Our team is experienced at generating lifetime income from a sudden windfall while positioning it for continued growth. We facilitate family education in order to successfully pass on wealth from generation to generation.
When women or men become the sole decision-makers for their wealth, they may wish for additional support, resources and education. Many of our clients turn to us to help them find their footing after becoming suddenly single. We work closely with them, empowering them to shape the future they envision.
