Tommy, a Katz Wealth Management member since 2007, co-heads the team's comprehensive financial planning process along with overseeing all insurance planning for clients.
Tommy is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and has received extensive training in advanced planning for retirement, college saving, insurance, and wealth transfer strategies. As part of the team's planning process Tommy analyzes client's insurance needs, reviews existing policies, and ensures clients have sufficient coverage through solutions such as long term care, life insurance, and annuities Lastly, Tommy assists clients in pursuing their philanthropic efforts and has extensive experience in establishing donor-advised funds, private foundations, endowments, and charitable gift annuities (among other solutions).
Tommy is also a CFA® charter holder and an active member of the CFA Society of New York. The CFA® designation is globally recognized and attests to a charter holder's success in a rigorous and comprehensive study program in the field of investment management and research analysis. In addition, Tommy holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation, administered by Investment Management Consultants Association® and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and maintains his Series 7, 66 and 3 securities licenses as well as a New York State life and health insurance licenses.
Tommy graduated with a B.S. degree from The John F. Welch School of Business at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, where he played Division I volleyball. He enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and is also an active participant in the UBS Community Affairs & Corporate Responsibility program.
