Providing institutional consulting services to clients since 2001, Samantha has assets under advisement of $1.9B (as of April, 2020). Her team's client base is comprised of High Net Worth Individuals and Families, Corporate Retirement Plans, Public Retirement Plans, Foundations and Endowments, and Not-for-Profit Organizations.
Samantha joined UBS Financial Services in 2008 with over 20 years of accounting and financial services industry experience. She began her career in public accounting in 1992, later transitioning to corporate accounting, mergers and acquisitions for large publically traded institutions. She was active in the tax-free spinoff of Eveready Battery from Ralston Purina in 1999-2000 and performed analytical analysis and reporting on various global subsidiaries of both companies, working in over 15 countries. In 2001, Samantha transitioned her career to the investment consulting industry where she leveraged her skills to build a practice focused on client–centric planning and the needs of corporate clients both on the for-profit and non-profit segments. Her combination of experience and expertise has enabled her clients to successfully navigate the complexities surrounding benefit programs, investment and spending policy design, and the ever-changing fiduciary landscape associated with running a business.
She is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXIX and is a member of the following organizations: Council on Foundations, Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors, NAPA-National Association of Plan Advisors, Investments & Wealth Institute, Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Tampa Bay, Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, LRMC Women in Philanthropy, United Way of Central Florida Community Investment Team. She has served on numerous community boards and is a frequent speaker on topics such a financial planning and board responsibilities.
In addition to traditional institutional consulting services on investment policy statements, spending policies, asset allocation and investment manager search, selection and monitoring, Samantha provides her clients with board training on topics including: Your Fiduciary Responsibilities under ERISA, Parliamentary Procedure, Board Duties & Responsibilities, Non-Profit Financials, and Effective Board Meetings.
